Recent industry statistics show that the motorcycle sector is expected to maintain overall growth in 2025, with total annual production reaching approximately 22.11 million units and total sales around 21.97 million units—both representing year-on-year increases of about 10%.
Structurally, “two-wheeled vehicles” remain the mainstay, with output around 19.31 million units and sales approximately 19.16 million units, while “large-displacement leisure and recreational models (>250cc)” continue to gain momentum, posting annual production and sales of roughly 950,000 units each, up more than 20% year on year.
Notably, total domestic sales amounted to approximately 8.602 million units, representing a slight year-on-year decline, which indicates that the market is shifting from a focus on volume to structural differentiation: exports, niche applications, and premiumization are emerging as the key drivers of growth.
Implications for Component Manufacturers
The growth of large-displacement and leisure-oriented vehicle models is driving higher demands for consistency and premium质感 in exterior components, handling components, and brake-related parts.
Under the “weak domestic demand, strong external demand” dynamic, process stability, batch-to-batch consistency, and delivery capability are more critical than price alone.
An integrated production line encompassing casting, machining, and polishing/surface treatment is better positioned to establish a competitive edge in “controllable quality and controllable delivery schedules.”
